Securing Java™ EE Applications

Our client develops and maintains its own Java™ Enterprise applications whose users are authenticated against a set of user registries. Consulting Re-acts® helped its customer in reducing the complexity of their authentication process by properly encapsulating the various user authentication back ends behind a custom user registry and implementing a custom JAAS (Java™ Authentication and Authorization Service)-compliant login procedure. Our client's developers can now develop and deploy Java™ EE compliant applications and use standard Java™ EE security APIs and development models to protect the application resources.

A Single Sign-On Solution for a Java™ EE Public Administration Portal

Our client's applications are deployed on a high number instances of a proprietary Java™ EE application server. Such instances are run on a set of Solaris Zones installed on servers deployed in geographically distributed data centers. Consulting Re-acts® helped its client implement a Hardware-assisted Application Firewall and Single Sign-On solution in order to provide its applications a standard Java™ EE JAAS interface to the security context while segregating infrastructure and implementation complexities on the architectural artifacts implemented by our team.
